Save Our Schools
Students supporting students!
The "Save Our Schools" campaign is an initiative of the Generous Community Student Board.
The SOS project is a community campaign to raise emergency funds for (public, private, charter, and home school groups).
SOS allows participating students the opportunities to gain experience in each core field.
SOS will utilize the "Adopt a School FunCard" in which the design allows schools to keep 100% of all monies raised.
The initial campaign goal is to raise $1M for the schools in Greater Wake County, North Carolina. Recent budget cuts have effected most our our schools in the United States.
Wake County Public Schools took a $7.25 cut per student. SOS hopes to help replace those monies and provide financial assistance to all educational institutions.
This program is a mini- stimulus for local businesses which provides consumers with
discounts on goods and services and delivers emergency funds to schools.
